Henry Ford introduces the Model T which cost $850. By 1909 his company is turning out 19,000 automobiles a year. Ford makes his operation so efficient that by 1926 the cost drops to $310.
Movies houses call nickelodeons, first established in 1905, now number about 8,000 throughout the country. Usually set up in empty stores, they show continuous movies with piano accompaniment. Tickets were 5 cents
